I was born and raised in Michigan. I’ve been very creative my whole life. I was always drawing and making art growing up, but my love for photography blossomed in high school. My sister was always taking photos, and I had an amazing teacher who started me learning with only film, which really made me fall in love with the art and craft of photography. The entire process of learning the camera, unloading the film, developing it, and printing it with my own hands was amazing. I aspire to be able to document your moments on film one day. Hi, I’m Sophia!
I also work at Starbucks, so you can imagine I love coffee. And music. I love love love music. I’m constantly listening to rock, 90s rap, or Lana Del Rey. I think Apple Music said I listened to around 55,000 minutes last year? You can usually find me at the beach or anywhere near the water. My dad had a boat growing up, so since as long as I can remember I’ve loved anything to do with being by the lake.
What to Expect from me.

I want your photos to feel real and natural. If you feel awkward in front of a camera, don’t worry! So do I!! I will help guide you with posing in a way that feels natural and gives that candid look. We will probably end up fake laughing together. If you want some smiling or posing towards the camera, that’s good with me too. I definitely consider myself a perfectionist, so after your shoot, I will carefully go through and professionally edit each image to make sure they look their best. I will always give you work I'm proud to call mine.
